Thank You Flowers — Frequently Asked Questions

Same day across Dubai, seven days a week. Order by 9:40pm and choose your delivery window at checkout — delivery is complimentary within Dubai. Ordering in the morning gives you the widest choice of windows. Midnight delivery, between 11pm and 1am, is a separate service from AED 99 and must be ordered by 5pm.

All of Dubai — Downtown, Marina, JBR, Jumeirah, Business Bay, DIFC, Palm Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Deira, Bur Dubai, Dubai Hills and Arabian Ranches — plus Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. Select your emirate at checkout to see the delivery windows and any charges that apply.

Yes. Select a window at checkout, or message our WhatsApp concierge if it needs to land at an exact moment. For office delivery we suggest mid-morning so the recipient has the flowers through the working day.

Every order includes a complimentary handwritten-style note card. For a thank you, name the specific thing you are grateful for — it reads far better than a general phrase.

Our driver calls the recipient on arrival. Give us their mobile number rather than your own — a wrong number is the most common cause of a delayed delivery, especially at offices with reception security.

A box. It arrives arranged with a concealed water source and needs no vase. A bouquet handed to a receptionist becomes a problem you have created for the person you meant to thank.

Yes, seven days a week including Fridays and public holidays.

Yes. Our concierge coordinates multi-address delivery from a single brief, with standing accounts available for companies that send regularly.

    Thank You Flowers in Dubai

Gratitude is easier to feel than to express. A message is typed in seconds and read in less, and it rarely carries the weight of what prompted it. Flowers do the work a message cannot — they arrive, they occupy a room, they are noticed by everyone who walks past, and they say the thing without asking the recipient to reply.

This collection gathers every arrangement the Black & Blanc atelier composes for thanking someone: warm rather than romantic, generous rather than grand. Every piece is hand-composed to order in our Al Quoz atelier from stems selected that morning, finished in the house cream or matte noir, and delivered the same day across Dubai from AED 399.

    What Flowers Say Thank You

Almost any flower can, provided the colour does not say something else by accident. The mistake is rarely the flower — it is a palette carrying a second meaning the sender never intended.

Blush, peach and soft pink are the natural register for gratitude: warm, personal, and free of the romantic reading red carries. If you send one thing without deliberating, send blush.

Mixed seasonal compositions read as generous and unfussy, and suit thanking someone whose taste you do not know well — the variety carries the gesture rather than a single stem having to.

Yellow and bright palettes express friendship and energy, right for a friend, a neighbour or a teacher.

White and ivory are the most formal option, suited to professional gratitude or thanking someone considerably senior.

What to avoid. Red roses, unless the relationship warrants that reading — gratitude misread as romance is an awkward thing to correct. And all-white sent to someone recently bereaved reads as sympathy rather than thanks.

    Thanking by Relationship

A colleague or team. Compact and restrained. A box on a desk is read by the whole office, so the register should be one the recipient is comfortable being seen to receive. Orchids are strongest here — two to four weeks of life from a well-sourced stem, and no vase required.

A manager or someone senior. White or ivory, medium scale, understated.

A client. House cream or matte noir box, single-colour, delivered to their office. As much relationship-building as gratitude, and the packaging carries part of the message.

A friend. Colour and character. Bouquets suit friendship better than boxes, which read as slightly formal between close people.

A host or hostess. Medium, neutral palette, delivered the day before or after rather than carried to the event — arriving with flowers means your host stops receiving guests to find a vase.

A teacher, doctor or carer. Warm, bright, modest. A plant or orchid outlasts the term or the treatment.

    Bouquet, Box or Vase

Format turns on where the flowers are going rather than on taste.

Send a bouquet when the recipient is at home with a vase, or when it will be handed over in person. Hand-tied on a spiral so it holds its shape and settles into a vase without rearranging.

Send a flower box when the destination is an office, hotel or clinic. Boxes arrive arranged, drinking from a concealed water source, needing nothing on arrival. Most thank-you flowers in Dubai go to workplaces, which makes the box the default rather than the exception — a bouquet handed to a receptionist becomes a problem you created for the person you meant to thank.

Send a vase arrangement when the flowers are for a shared space: a reception desk, a meeting room, a family home.

    What We Source

The stems matter more than the arrangement, and ours are bought at the top of the international market rather than for availability or price.

Premium garden roses from Ecuador, selected by stage of bloom at the point of cutting. Peonies from the Netherlands during their brief spring window. Hand-selected orchids. Hydrangeas in single soft tones, structured for longevity. Lilies for fragrance and slow opening. Seasonal stems chosen for structural integrity rather than what happens to be in the market that week.

Nothing is pre-assembled and nothing is held in cold storage. Every arrangement is composed after the order is placed, by a florist, by hand, on the day it is delivered.

    Scale and Price

Arrangements begin at AED 399. Medium sits at roughly AED 499 to 699, large at AED 999, extra-large at AED 1,399, with statement pieces in statement luxury rising beyond. Everything below five hundred is gathered in the under AED 500 edit.

Thank-you flowers are one of the few occasions where more is not better. A medium arrangement is generous. An extra-large one can read as obligation, or as an attempt to settle a debt — which turns gratitude into a transaction. Modest and well composed is the register that lands.

The exception is corporate gratitude at scale, where a statement arrangement in a reception area is read by an organisation rather than a person, and the proportions of the space justify the size.

    Corporate and Client Gratitude

A significant share of thank-you orders in Dubai are commercial: thanking a client after a deal closes, a supplier after a difficult delivery, a team after a long quarter.

We recommend the box format without exception — single-colour, house cream or matte noir, wordmark visible. A box arriving at a reception desk is seen by more people than the recipient alone.

For multi-recipient sends, our concierge coordinates delivery to several addresses from a single brief rather than eight separate orders. Standing accounts are available for companies that send regularly, and branded card inserts are coordinated directly rather than treated as an add-on. More on how standing orders work is on our flower shop page.

What to Write on the Card

Every order includes a complimentary handwritten-style note card. The flowers carry the sentiment; the card carries the specificity.

Name the thing. "Thank you for staying late on Thursday" lands better than "Thank you for everything", because it shows you noticed the particular effort.

Keep it short. Two lines is enough. Brevity reads as sincerity where length reads as performance.

Sign it properly. An unsigned card creates a puzzle rather than a gesture.

If you would rather not write it, describe the situation to our concierge and the team will draft a line in keeping with the arrangement.

    Same-Day Delivery Across Dubai

Every arrangement is composed to order and delivered the same day across Dubai, seven days a week, with a choice of delivery windows at checkout. Our same-day delivery page sets out how it works.

We deliver city-wide — Downtown, DIFC, Marina, JBR, Jumeirah, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Mirdif, Deira, Bur Dubai, Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches and The Springs — to homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, clinics and venues. We also deliver to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain; select your emirate at checkout to see the delivery options available to you.

Timing matters for gratitude. Thank-you flowers work best within a few days of whatever prompted them. A gesture arriving two weeks later reads as an afterthought, however generous.

For an office, choose a morning window so the recipient has the flowers through the working day rather than carrying them home at the end of it. Our concierge can hold a specific window if it matters.

Give us the recipient's mobile number, not your own. Our driver calls on arrival, and a wrong number is the most common cause of a delayed delivery — particularly at offices with reception security.

    How Long They Last

At our sourcing standard, premium garden roses hold seven to ten days with correct care. Orchids run considerably longer, two to four weeks. Hydrangeas hold well across the week. Peonies are the most fleeting at three to five days at their most dramatic, which is part of what makes them prized.

For a bouquet: trim two to three centimetres from each stem at an angle, use clean water, and strip any leaves below the waterline, since submerged foliage turns water cloudy. Refresh every two days and re-trim when you do.

For a box: top up the concealed reservoir every two days, pouring slowly at the edge rather than over the heads, and do not move the arrangement into another container.

For both: keep the arrangement out of direct sunlight and away from air-conditioning vents. In Dubai, air conditioning shortens vase life more than anything else — moving an arrangement two metres from a vent can add days to it.

    Bespoke Thank-You Arrangements

If what you need is not in the collection — a specific palette, a particular stem, a scale beyond the standard range, or an arrangement paired with chocolate or a keepsake — our WhatsApp concierge takes bespoke briefs directly.

Seasonal availability moves week to week. We will tell you honestly what is achievable rather than promising it and substituting quietly on the day.

    Why Black & Blanc

Founded in Dubai, Black & Blanc was built on a simple belief: flowers should be more than decoration. They should be a gesture, an intention, a language.

Stems selected each morning at the top of the international market. Florists who compose rather than assemble. Packaging that is part of the gift. Delivery by our own team rather than a third-party courier. And an honest answer when something is not achievable in a given season.

We do not follow trends. We follow craft — and in a thank-you gesture, where the whole point is that someone took care, craft is the only thing that shows.
