Allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the container on the first burn — this takes around two to three hours and prevents uneven burning in future.
Trim the wick to 5 mm each time before lighting. A correctly trimmed wick produces a cleaner, more even flame and less smoke.
Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not place on polished wood, fabric, or directly on a windowsill.
Limit burns to four hours at a time. Overburning overheats the glass and can cause uneven melting.
When only 5 to 10 mm of wax remains, discontinue use. Burning to the base can overheat the container.
