Flower Bouquets Dubai — Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
A bouquet is hand-tied and wrapped, designed to be placed in a vase on arrival — a softer, more natural presentation. A flower box arrives arranged in our signature cream or black box with a hidden water source, ready to display as it is.
With care, five to seven days. Trim the stems at an angle before placing them in clean water, refresh the water every two days, and keep the arrangement away from direct sunlight and air-conditioning drafts. For something that lasts a year or more, see our infinity roses.
Yes. Our WhatsApp concierge handles bespoke briefs — specific palettes, particular stems, or a size beyond the standard range. Availability varies by season and we will always propose the closest equivalent.

Flower Bouquets in Dubai — Hand-Tied Daily by the Atelier
A bouquet is the oldest form of giving flowers, and still the most personal. Unlike an arrangement built into a box or a vessel, a hand-tied bouquet arrives as the florist gathered it — stems bound at a single point, opening outward, wrapped rather than contained. It is the format that most resembles flowers picked from a garden, and it carries a warmth that more architectural presentations deliberately avoid.
This collection brings together every flower bouquet composed by the Black & Blanc atelier in Dubai: classic rose bouquets, fragrant lilies, full hydrangeas, clean tulips and richly mixed seasonal compositions. Each is hand-tied to order from premium stems selected that morning, finished in the house wrapping, and delivered the same day anywhere in Dubai.
What Makes a Black & Blanc Bouquet
Three things distinguish a bouquet composed here from one bought in a hurry elsewhere.
The stems. We buy at the top of the market and select each morning rather than working through what remains from earlier in the week. A bouquet is unforgiving in this respect — there is nowhere for a tired stem to hide in a hand-tied composition the way there is in a densely packed box.
The composition. Our florists build a spiral — stems laid at a consistent angle so the bouquet opens evenly and stands on its own base. It is slower than gathering flowers into a bunch, and it is the reason our bouquets hold their shape when set down rather than collapsing inward.
The finish. Wrapping is part of the gift, not packaging to be discarded. Our bouquets arrive in the house's cream and black register, structured to protect the heads in transit and to present properly at the moment of handover.
Bouquet or Flower Box — Which to Choose
This is the question we are asked most, and the answer depends less on taste than on circumstance.
Choose a bouquet when the recipient is at home and has a vase, when you want the softer and more romantic of the two registers, or when the gift will be handed over in person — a bouquet photographs beautifully in the arms and is designed to be carried.
Choose a flower box when sending to an office, a hotel or an event, where a vase may not be available and nobody has time to arrange stems. Boxes arrive complete, drinking from a concealed water source, and need nothing at all on arrival.
Both are composed to the same standard from the same stems. The box is more convenient; the bouquet is more personal. If you are sending to a home and you know there is a vase, the bouquet is almost always the more affecting choice.
Inside the Collection
Rose bouquets. The foundation of the collection. From compact hand-tied designs to the 50 and 100-stem statement bouquets, roses remain the most requested bouquet flower in Dubai for reasons that have not changed in centuries — they read clearly, they last well, and their meaning needs no explanation. Available across red, white, pink, blush and mixed palettes.
Lily bouquets. The Fresh Lily Bouquet is our most fragrant design and one of the longest-lasting, since lilies open progressively over several days. A bouquet that arrives partly in bud is not an unfinished bouquet — it is one that will still be opening on day five.
Hydrangea bouquets. Full, generous heads that give a bouquet immediate volume. Hydrangeas pair beautifully with roses, which is why they appear throughout our Cecile and Chloe designs, and they read as abundant without reading as excessive.
Tulip bouquets. Cleaner and more contemporary than roses, with a natural movement — tulips continue to grow after cutting and will gently reposition themselves in the vase over the following days. The Glowing White Tulips bouquet is the most architectural design in the collection.
Mixed seasonal bouquets. Camille in its deep purples, Chloe in blush and white, Cecile in whites and hydrangea, Jardin Blanc as a study in white alone, Peach Sorbet and Vibrant Delice for colour. These are the designs that change most across the year, since they are built from whatever the season is doing best.
Sizes and Price Guide
Bouquets begin at AED 399 for the small size. Medium sits at approximately AED 499 to 699, large at AED 999, and extra-large at AED 1,399, with the largest rose statements — the 50 and 100-stem bouquets — running from AED 799 to AED 1,699.
Size is a question of occasion rather than generosity. A small bouquet is right for a desk, a bedside, a thank-you or a gesture between friends. Medium is the default for most gifting and the size the majority of our clients choose. Large and extra-large belong to occasions with weight — significant birthdays, anniversaries, apologies, homecomings — and to spaces that can hold them: entrance tables, reception desks, dining tables.
Bouquets by Occasion
Birthdays. Colour and personality. Mixed seasonal bouquets, blush and peach palettes, or a bright rose bouquet in the recipient's colour.
Anniversaries. Red roses remain the definitive choice, though a couple with an established language of their own may prefer white or blush. Scale matters more here than on most occasions.
Congratulations. White and bright mixed bouquets read as celebratory without being romantic — the right register for a promotion, a graduation or a new home.
Thank you. Medium hand-tied bouquets in soft palettes. Warm without being effusive.
Sympathy. Restraint is the whole point. All-white bouquets — Jardin Blanc, white roses, white lilies — carry the message without decoration.
Romance. Red or deep blush roses, hand-tied, at a size that says the thought preceded the occasion rather than followed it.
Bouquets by Recipient
For your wife or partner. Roses in red or blush, medium to large. If she has a preferred colour, follow it — personal knowledge beats convention every time.
For your mother. Softer mixed compositions, lilies for fragrance, or hydrangea and rose combinations. Warmth over drama.
For a friend. Colour and character — peach, purple, mixed seasonal. Bouquets suit friendship better than boxes, which can read as slightly formal.
For a colleague. Compact and restrained, or consider a box instead given the office context.
For a host. A medium bouquet in a neutral palette, ideally delivered before the event rather than carried to it, so your host is not arranging flowers while receiving guests.
The Language of Colour
Colour carries meaning, and choosing with intent makes a bouquet more precise. Red is love and admiration, unambiguous and best reserved for the relationships that warrant it. White is respect, purity and peace — the most formal register, right for sympathy, professional gifting and elder family members. Pink and blush express warmth, gratitude and gentle affection, which makes them the most versatile shades in the collection. Purple speaks of dignity and achievement, well suited to congratulations. Peach and coral read as modern and celebratory. Mixed palettes suit birthdays and any occasion where the message is simply joy.

Caring for Your Bouquet
A hand-tied bouquet needs a few minutes of attention on arrival, and rewards it. Remove the wrapping, trim two to three centimetres from each stem at an angle, and place the bouquet in clean water — the spiral construction means it will usually settle into a vase without rearranging. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline, since submerged foliage is what turns water cloudy.
After that: refresh the water every two days, re-trim the stems when you do, and keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight and air-conditioning vents. Air conditioning is the main reason flowers fade early in Dubai, and moving a bouquet two metres from a vent can add days to its life. Expect five to seven days from a well-kept bouquet, longer from lilies and tulips.
Bespoke and Custom Bouquets
If what you want is not in the collection, our WhatsApp concierge takes bespoke briefs — a specific palette, a particular stem, a size beyond the standard range, or a bouquet built around a memory or a colour that matters to the recipient. Availability varies by season and we will always tell you honestly what is achievable rather than substitute silently.
We also handle bridal and event bouquets, corporate standing orders for reception desks, and multi-address deliveries coordinated from a single brief.
Why Black & Blanc
Founded in Dubai, Black & Blanc was built on a simple belief: flowers should be more than decoration — they should be a gesture, an intention, a language. Every bouquet is hand-tied in our atelier from stems chosen that morning, composed in a spiral, finished in the cream and black register recognisable across the city, and delivered by our own team.
We do not follow trends. We follow craft — and in a bouquet, where nothing is hidden, craft is the only thing that shows.
Frequently Asked Questions
What flowers are in your Dubai bouquets?
Premium roses, lilies, hydrangeas, tulips and seasonal mixed stems, hand-selected each morning. Composition varies with the season so every bouquet reflects what is at its best that week.
How much does a flower bouquet cost in Dubai?
Bouquets begin at AED 399 for the small size, rising through medium and large to AED 1,399 for extra-large, and up to AED 1,699 for the 100-stem rose statements.
What is the difference between a bouquet and a flower box?
A bouquet is hand-tied and wrapped, designed to be placed in a vase on arrival — softer and more personal. A box arrives arranged with a concealed water source, ready to display as it is, which suits offices, hotels and anywhere a vase may not be available.
How long will a fresh bouquet last?
Five to seven days with care. Trim the stems at an angle, use clean water, refresh it every two days, and keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight and air-conditioning drafts. Lilies and tulips often last longer as they continue opening.
Will my bouquet look exactly like the photograph?
Our florists compose each bouquet to match the design as closely as possible. Because we work with fresh seasonal stems, minor substitutions occasionally occur — always of equal or higher value, and always faithful to the palette and style shown.
Can I request a custom bouquet or specific colours?
Yes. Our WhatsApp concierge handles bespoke briefs including specific palettes, particular stems and sizes beyond the standard range, subject to seasonal availability.
Do you deliver bouquets the same day in Dubai?
Yes. Every bouquet is hand-tied to order and delivered the same day across Dubai, with slots available until midnight and complimentary express delivery.
Can I add a personal message?
Every order can include a complimentary handwritten-style note card. Add your message at checkout and we will write it before dispatch.
Choose your bouquet above, select the size that suits the occasion, and we will hand-tie it today and deliver it anywhere in Dubai.
