With the right care, Autumn - Bonfire in Box stays at its best for 5 to 7 days. The arrangement is composed in floral foam, so no vase is needed.
Add water to the floral foam every two days, pouring slowly around the edges and keeping the dried and preserved elements dry. Press the surface first — if it still feels damp, skip that day.
Keep the box in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and air-conditioning vents.
Stems are set precisely in the foam — do not trim or reposition them. Remove individual blooms as they fade to keep the composition fresh.
Keep away from ripening fruit — the ethylene it releases shortens the life of fresh blooms.
Bonfire is the richest piece in the collection — the deep, crackling glow at the centre of the flame. Gold-orange dahlias, at their very best in October, sit among Crystal Flame roses, red Mokkara orchids and the deep claret of dried red hydrangea.
Red astrantia and toffee lisianthus give it depth, while sprays of scarlet rose hips and silver-green eucalyptus spill from the edges like embers. Dramatic, rich and quietly luxurious — for someone who loves colour with real presence.
