A flower box solves a problem the bouquet cannot. Fresh flowers are beautiful and demanding — they want a vase, clean water, trimmed stems and ten minutes of attention at exactly the moment the recipient is least able to give it. A box removes all of that. The arrangement arrives composed, drinking from a concealed water source inside the box, and it is finished the moment it is set down.

Every box on this page is composed in the Black & Blanc atelier in Al Quoz from fresh flowers selected that morning, finished in the house cream or matte noir, and delivered the same day anywhere in Dubai.

Box or Bouquet — How to Choose

This is the only decision that really matters, and it turns on where the flowers are going rather than on taste.

Send a box to an office, a hotel, a hospital, a restaurant or an event. In all of these the recipient has no vase and no time. A bouquet handed to a receptionist becomes a problem you have created for someone else; a box is simply placed on the desk.

Send a bouquet to a home where you know there is a vase, or when the gift will be handed over in person. A hand-tied bouquet is the warmer and more personal of the two registers, and it photographs beautifully in the arms.

Both are composed to the same standard, from the same stems, by the same florists. The box is more convenient. The bouquet is more intimate.

What Goes Into a Black & Blanc Box

The stems. Selected each morning at the top of the international market rather than drawn from cold storage. A box conceals stem ends, but it does not conceal a tired bloom — the heads sit at eye level and every one is visible.

The construction. Flowers are set into floral foam or a water reservoir concealed beneath the rim, at a density that reads as full without crushing the heads. The composition is built to be seen from above and from the side, since a box is usually placed on a surface rather than held.

The box itself. Rigid, structured, in the house cream or matte noir, built to protect the arrangement in transit and to present properly at the moment of handover. It is part of the gift rather than packaging to be discarded, and most recipients keep it.

Sizes and Prices

Boxes begin at AED 399 for the compact desk size. Medium sits at roughly AED 499 to 699, large at AED 999, and extra-large at AED 1,399. Beyond that sit the statement formats — half-metre, one-metre, Zenith, Pinnacle and Extravaganza — which belong on entrance tables and reception desks rather than anywhere domestic. Everything below five hundred is gathered in the under AED 500 edit; the largest compositions live in statement luxury.

Size is a question of the surface it will sit on, not of generosity. A compact box suits a desk or a bedside. Medium is the default for most gifting. Large and above need a table that can carry them.

What We Box

Roses. The most requested box flower, composed in single colours — red, white, blush, cream — rather than mixed. A box of one hundred roses in a single tone is a more powerful object than the same hundred in five colours.

Hydrangeas. Full heads that fill a box quickly and read as abundant. They pair naturally with roses and appear throughout our Cecile and Chloe designs.

Lilies. The most fragrant option, and among the longest-lasting since they open progressively across several days. A box that arrives partly in bud will still be opening on day five.

Mixed and seasonal. Compositions built from whatever the season is doing best — the designs that change most across the year.

All white. The most formal register we work in, and the right answer for sympathy, professional gifting and occasions where restraint is the message.

Infinity rose boxes. Preserved roses that hold their form for a year or more. The right choice when the recipient travels, or when the gesture should outlast the week.

Flower Boxes by Occasion

Birthdays. Colour and personality — mixed seasonal, blush and peach, or a single bright tone.

Anniversaries. Red or white roses at scale. The box format suits the occasion because it holds its shape for the whole week rather than the first evening.

Congratulations. White and bright compositions sent to an office — the single most common use of the box format, and the one it was designed for.

Romance. Red roses, single tone, composed densely.

Sympathy. All-white, sent where a vase cannot be assumed.

New arrivals. Soft palettes delivered to a hospital room, where a box is far more practical than a bouquet.

Corporate and Office Flower Boxes

Boxes are the format we recommend for every commercial application. They arrive complete, require nothing from the recipient, and hold their appearance on a reception desk, boardroom table or hotel lobby for the better part of a week.

Caring for a Flower Box

Less work than a bouquet, but not none. Top up the water reservoir every two days — pour slowly at the edge rather than over the heads. Keep the box out of direct sunlight and away from air-conditioning vents; moving it two metres from a vent can add days to its life. Remove any bloom that fades before the others, since one spent flower accelerates the rest. Do not move the arrangement between containers — it is built for the box it arrived in.

Every box is composed to order and delivered the same day across Dubai, seven days a week. Order by 9:40pm and choose your window at checkout; delivery is complimentary within Dubai, with charges shown at checkout for other emirates. Midnight delivery, between 11pm and 1am, is available from AED 99, ordered by 5pm.
