About Black & Blanc

A Flower Shop in Dubai, Not a Flower Warehouse

Black & Blanc was founded in Dubai on a simple belief: flowers should be more than decoration. They should be a gesture, an intention, a language. We are a working atelier rather than a storefront stocked from cold storage, and the difference shows in what arrives at the door.

Every arrangement is composed to order. We buy at the top of the international market and select stems each morning rather than working through what remains from earlier in the week. Nothing is pre-assembled. Nothing is held. Our florists compose in the house's cream and black register, and our own team delivers — not a third-party courier who has never seen the arrangement before it went in the van.

That model costs more to run than the alternative. It is also the only way we know to guarantee that what you saw on the page is what your recipient opens the door to.

Where to Find Us

Our atelier is in the Al Quoz Creative Zone — Warehouse 12, Al Quoz Creative Zone, Dubai. Al Quoz is where much of the city's studio and gallery work happens, and it is where every Black & Blanc arrangement is composed, wrapped and dispatched.

Everything on this page can be ordered online or through our WhatsApp concierge and delivered anywhere in Dubai the same day. We also maintain dedicated pages for the areas we serve most often: Dubai, Jumeirah, Business Bay, Al Barsha, Al Rigga, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah.

How Delivery Works

Same day, across Dubai. Orders are composed to order and delivered the same day, seven days a week. Order by 8:30pm on weekdays and 7:30pm at weekends and choose your window at checkout; delivery is complimentary within Dubai, with charges shown at checkout for other emirates. Midnight delivery, between 11pm and 1am, is a separate service from AED 99, ordered by 5pm. Our same-day delivery page explains the timing in detail.

Timed delivery. If the arrangement needs to arrive at a specific moment — a birthday morning, an event setup window, a reception with a fixed start — we can hold it to a window. Arrange this through the concierge rather than at checkout.

Across the UAE. We deliver to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. A delivery charge applies outside Dubai and varies by emirate; select your emirate at checkout, since the available designs and delivery windows also differ by location.

Where we deliver to. Homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, hospitals and event venues. For hotels and offices we recommend a flower box over a bouquet, since a vase may not be available at the other end.

One practical note. Give us the recipient's mobile number rather than your own. Our driver calls on arrival, and a wrong number is the single most common cause of a delayed delivery.

What We Make

Bouquets. Hand-tied and wrapped, built on a spiral so they hold their shape and open evenly. The softer, more personal of our two gifting formats, and the right choice when the recipient is at home with a vase.

Flower boxes. Arranged in the signature cream or matte black box with a concealed water source, ready to display on arrival. The right choice for offices, hotels and anywhere a vase is uncertain.

Vases and statement pieces. Composed at scale for entrance tables, reception desks and dining rooms — including the half-metre, one-metre, Zenith, Pinnacle and Extravaganza formats gathered in statement luxury.

Infinity roses. Preserved roses that hold for a year or more, for when the gesture should outlast the week.

Orchids and plants. For recipients who keep things growing rather than cut — longer-lived, and better suited to a desk or windowsill.

The Flowers We Work With

Our range is built around five core stems and whatever the season is doing best alongside them.

Roses are the foundation — premium garden roses in blush, cream, all-white and deep crimson, composed at everything from personal scale to the 500-stem statements. Hydrangeas give volume and read as abundant without excess. Lilies are the most fragrant and among the longest-lasting, since they open progressively over several days. Tulips are cleaner and more contemporary, and continue to move in the vase after cutting. Mixed seasonal compositions change most across the year. For the most formal register, our all-white range is composed in a single colour throughout.

Shopping by Occasion

Most people arrive knowing the occasion rather than the flower, so the catalogue is organised that way too: birthdays, anniversaries, romance, congratulations, new arrivals, sympathy, apology and Eid.

And by recipient, when the occasion is less the point than the person: for her, for him, for your wife, for your husband, for your mother, for your father, for a friend, for a colleague, for a host, or for yourself.

Corporate, Events and Standing Orders

We hold standing orders for private residences on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule, composed to the client's palette and the proportions of the space, delivered on an agreed day and prepared that morning.

For commercial clients we handle hotel lobbies, members' clubs, retail environments, reception areas and boardrooms across the city, on a recurring basis. Event work covers private dinners, receptions and corporate occasions, managed from initial brief through to on-site placement.

Corporate gifting at volume — client lists, staff recognition, seasonal campaigns — is coordinated from a single brief with multi-address delivery. Message the concierge rather than ordering through checkout for anything above a handful of addresses.

How to Choose a Flower Shop in Dubai

Since you are likely comparing, here is what we would look at in our position.

Ask when the flowers were bought. Not when they were arranged — when the stems were purchased. A bouquet assembled this morning from stems bought last week is not a fresh bouquet.

Look at whether the photographs are the actual product. Stock imagery is common in this market and it is the clearest signal that what arrives will be a loose interpretation.

Check who delivers. A florist using third-party couriers has no control over the last hour, which is the hour that decides whether flowers arrive upright.

Ask what happens on a substitution. Seasonal availability moves. The question is whether you are told in advance or discover it on arrival.

Why People Choose Us

Stems selected each morning at the top of the market. Florists who compose rather than assemble. Packaging that is part of the gift rather than something to be discarded. Delivery by our own team. And an honest answer when something is not achievable in a given season — we will tell you rather than substitute silently.

We do not follow trends. We follow craft.
