Unwrap The Bordered Field Bouquet and place in a clean vase with fresh, cool water as soon as possible. Trim all stems diagonally before placing.
Change the water every one to two days and re-trim the stems each time. Clean water prevents bacteria from blocking the cut stem surfaces.
This is a mixed bouquet with varieties of different lifespans. Remove individual stems \u2014 starting with the softer tulip and phlox \u2014 as they fade rather than changing the whole bouquet at once.
Keep away from direct sunlight, air conditioning, and fruit. All three shorten fresh flower lifespan significantly.
Expect 5 to 7 days of peak condition for the dominant garden roses and calla lily; the dried hydrangea will hold its look throughout.
A dense cream field of garden roses, white hydrangea and lisianthus, set without gaps. Around it, a constant border of dark pink astrantia, maroon anthurium and deep purple calla lily. White tulip and phlox soften the centre; dried red hydrangea adds weight to the edge. The line holds even the whole way round. It reads as stitched, not arranged.
