Antibes Birthday Set brings together fresh flowers, a freshly made cake and helium balloons. Each needs different conditions.
Flowers: trim each stem at an angle, change the water every day and keep them out of direct sun and away from heat. Re-cut the stems every few days and remove any spent blooms.
Cake: refrigerate promptly and consume within 24 to 48 hours.
Balloons: helium balloons stay afloat for 12 to 24 hours in an air-conditioned room. Keep them away from heat and sharp objects.
Do not store the flowers in the same space as the cake. The flowers need cool, dry air; the cake needs refrigeration.
Named for the old harbour town on the Riviera, where the evening light turns violet over the sea. Tall purple delphinium and trachelium rise above deep-violet matthiola and purple limonium, lifted by soft white ranunculus, lisianthus and calla lily — 24 to 28 stems, hand-arranged on the day of delivery.
At its heart sits a half-kilo celebration cake, finished in matching violet and set right into the flowers as the centrepiece. Tethered alongside, a cluster of helium balloons hand-painted in the same violet, so the whole gift reads as one composition the moment the door opens.
